The characters were all very well created they didn’t come totally off as annoying teenagers, but they were believable characters. The story of Violet is really captivating, as much as it’s a little disturbing that she can find dead bodies, it’s still a really interesting and original story. The novel was definitely a mystery wrapped in another mystery, which had readers turning the page. On top of all this, she has someone after her, leaving her messages, and a dead cat. Even with the precautions, she tips off Sara Priest of the FBI. Finding the body of a little boy, she has no idea how she plans to call for help without tipping off the police that she found it. Violet can find dead bodies that have been discarded by their echo. Overall, it’s satisfactory.ĭesires of the Dead by: Kimberly Derting: The second novel in the Body Finder series. But this is only the first novel, so the story may get better, though the ending didn’t seem to end like there was more. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, well then you may have to find a new book. It’s got a lot of suspense, but on top of her weird gift that she has, there is a love story thrown in the mix for good measures. It’s a creepy, thriller type novel that keeps the reader reading. The Body Finder This happened to quite a few series, but I’m determined to finish all that I have started, so I’m starting with this one. What took me so long was the fact that, like many other series that I’ve picked up again recently, I just dropped it and forgot about it. The first novel wasn’t the greatest, but the series did get better as I continued on. I started to read it back in August of 2014, and I just finished the last novel this past week.
